Terms of Use
Last updated: August 22, 2026
These terms govern your use of Flute. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them. If you are using Flute on behalf of a company, you represent that you have authority to bind that company.
1. The service
Flute generates video ad creatives using AI. You provide brand context, references, and prompts; Flute produces video outputs and, if you connect an ad platform, shows you how your ads perform. Generations consume credits — each render draws from your credit balance. Your work is organized into Spaces, and how many Spaces you can keep active depends on your plan.
2. Your account
You must provide accurate account information and keep your sign-in credentials safe. You are responsible for activity that happens under your account. Tell us promptly at support@flute.ink if you believe your account has been compromised.
3. Acceptable use
- Do not use Flute to create or distribute unlawful, deceptive, or harmful content.
- Do not upload references you do not have rights to. You are responsible for ensuring you hold the necessary rights and permissions for every reference you upload — including footage, music, brand assets, and likenesses of people.
- Do not abuse the service or its APIs — no scraping, reverse engineering, rate-limit evasion, automated account creation, or attempts to access other users’ data.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.
4. AI-generated output
Flute’s outputs are produced by AI models and may require your review before use. You are responsible for the accuracy and legal compliance of any ads you run — including advertising regulations, platform policies, and disclosure requirements in your market. Because generative models can produce similar results for similar inputs, outputs are not guaranteed to be unique.
5. Intellectual property
You retain all rights to the content you upload. As between you and Flute, you own the outputs generated for you, to the extent we are able to grant such rights — note that the legal status of AI-generated works varies by jurisdiction. We retain all rights to the Flute service and software itself. You grant us a limited license to host and process your content solely to provide the service.
6. Payments and credits
New accounts include a small number of free renders to try the service. After that, renders are paid for with credits, and payments are processed by Stripe.
- Plan credits renew and expire. Your plan grants a credit allowance each billing period. Unused plan credits do not roll over — they expire at the end of the period.
- Credit packs do not expire. Credits bought as a one-off pack stay on your account until you use them.
- Consumed credits are non-refundable. Credits are spent when the video provider completes a render. A render that never reaches the provider, or that the provider fails outright, is not charged.
- Cancelling a render in progress. Whether a cancelled render is charged depends on how far it got. If you cancel before the provider has started generating, it is free. If generation had already started, the provider bills us and the render is charged in full — you keep the finished video in that case, and we warn you before you confirm. If the provider then rejects the render at its own content review (so it never billed us), the credits are returned to your account as pack credits.
- Cancelling. Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel, which you can do at any time from the billing page. Cancelling stops future charges; it does not refund the current period. If your plan then allows fewer Spaces than you have, the extra Spaces become read-only rather than being deleted, so nothing is lost if you resubscribe.
Current pricing is shown on the billing page. We will tell you before prices change.
7. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
Flute is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Flute’s total liability arising out of or relating to the service is capped at the fees you paid to us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, and we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for lost profits, revenue, or data.
8. Termination
You may stop using Flute at any time and request account deletion. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these terms or to protect the service or other users. Upon termination, your right to use the service ends; deletion of your data is handled as described in our Privacy Policy.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the product evolves. If a change is material, we will update this page and revise the date at the top; continued use of the service after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance.
